In this article, we'll show you how to set up your preferred navigation app as the default option for opening job addresses and save time!

Introduction

Navigating to job locations efficiently is crucial, and setting up a default navigation app can save you time and effort. This guide will walk you through the steps to configure your device to use your favourite navigation app as the default choice for opening addresses linked to jobs.

Pre-Requisite

  • Install the GeoOp app version 1.4.2 or above

Setting Up the Default Navigation App for iOS users

  1. Saving as Default: After you've made your initial choice, the next time you click on an address, your device will ask if you want to set your chosen navigation app as the default. Select "Yes" or "Set as Default" when prompted.

  2. Confirmation: Once you've set a default navigation app, you will no longer be asked to choose a navigation app every time you click on an address. Your chosen app will open automatically.

Setting Up the Default Navigation App for Android users

  1. First-Time Selection: The first time you click on an address, it will prompt you to confirm if you want to keep Google Maps as your default navigation app or select another one.

    1. Keeping Google Maps as default: Simply press "Save as default" to keep Google Maps as your default navigation app. Once done, you will no longer be asked to choose a navigation app every time you click on an address within your job app. Your chosen app will open automatically.

    2. Choosing a different default app: If you don't want to keep Google Maps as your default navigation app, then select "Go to settings". You will be redirected to a screen that lists all the navigation apps installed on your device. Simply toggle the one you want to set as your default one. Once you've set a default navigation app, you will no longer be asked to choose a navigation app every time you click on an address. Your chosen app will open automatically.

Changing the Default Navigation App

If you ever want to change your default navigation app or select a different one among the navigation apps installed on your device, follow these steps:

  1. Access the More or Settings menu

    • Open your job app and navigate to the "More" > "Settings" > "Navigation" menu.

  2. Select your new default app

    • Toggle on your new preferred navigation app from the list. Your device will now use this app as the default when opening addresses.
