That article presents the layout of a job in the GeoOp mobile app and explains how to efficiently manage it.

Overview of the Job Overview tab

The Overview tab of jobs is presents all the key informations about a job, as well as some quick links allowing you to perform key tasks in no time.

Information available on the job Overview screen

This screen presents the following information:

  • The job Reference Number in the header

  • The job Status on the top left corner

    • Tips: Tap on it to update the status

  • The job Priority on the top right corner

    • Tips: Tap on it to update the priority

  • The job Title and Description

    • Tips: Long-press on any of these fields to copy its content

    • Tips: Any phone number, email address or link added to the job description will be clickable

  • The job Order Number, which is only displayed if a value is added to that field

  • The job Address

    • Tips: Tap on it to navigate to this address using your default navigation app

    • Tips: Long-press on the address to copy it

  • The job's Client first name, last name and company name

  • The job's Billing Client first name, last name and company name

  • The Upcoming Bookings on that job, which are all the bookings scheduled today or in the future

    • Tips: Tap on "See all bookings" to access the Booking tab that shows all bookings, including the past ones

    • Tips: Tap on ... next to any booking from the list to edit it

  • The Staff Name of the person who created that job and its Creation of Date

Quick links available on the job Overview screen

From that screen, you have access to some quick links allowing you to perform the most frequent tasks in no time. The quick links available are:

  • Edit the job by clicking on the pencil icon in the header

  • Edit the status of the job by clicking on the status chip in the top left corner

  • Edit the priority of the job by clicking on the priority icon in the top right corner

  • Start/Stop a Timer on the job. Check this article for more details.

  • Add a note on the job. Check this article for more details.

  • Add a labour charge on the job

  • Add a part charge on the job

  • Call, Email and SMS your clients by using the icons next to the client's name

  • Edit upcoming bookings by clicking on ... next to the booking that you want to edit

How to navigate to the job address?

Simply click on the Job Address field displayed on the Overview tab. You can chose to view the address on a map with the GeoOp app or to select amongst your favourites app to navigate to this address.

How to access the client details for a specific job?

Simply click on the job card and then on the Client field displayed on the Overview tab. You will be redirected to the client screen where you can view contact details, jobs, quotes and invoices for that client.

Use the phone, SMS and email icons next to the client's name to directly call or message them without having to leave the job screen.
